Former MSU WR Germie Bernard talks Spartans, takes small shot at MSU
· Yahoo Sports
Germie Bernard is a bit of a polarizing figure amongst the Michigan State football community. A one-time big get for the Spartans, Bernard was a four-star recruit that made an immediate impact on the program as a freshman.
After just one season in East Lansing, though, he made the move to transfer to the school he originally intended to go to, Washington. After one year with Washington, Bernard followed Kalen DeBoer to Alabama, where he finished his college career.

Now, Bernard is gearing up for the 2026 NFL Draft, taking part in the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis this week. On Friday, he spoke to reporters, where his time at Michigan State was brought up.
Bernard brought up that Jayden Reed and Keon Coleman took him under their wing in East Lansing, where he learned a ton and had a great year, but also noted that he transferred because he did not believe he was going to be able to showcase his talents with the Spartans.
Ultimately that falls as an indictment on former offensive coordinator Jay Johnson, but it also does not look great for the Spartans in the media.
