Life can move quickly. Just two years ago, at the time of writing, Aleksandar Pavlović was a young upstart from Bayern Munich’s U-23s, looking to gather whatever minutes could come his way in the senior team. Now, he is an indispensable member of that senior team under Vincent Kompany.

But he has not reached his ceiling yet.

During a recent interview with Tz, the question of what his ceiling is and when he will hit was brought up. Specifically, the interviewer asked the Germany international where the latter is on his journey to becoming “the best #6 in the world.”

“You have to take it step by step to achieve big goals,” Pavlović said in response, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “I look up to Rodri [Hernandez Cascante] a bit in that respect; for me, he was one of the best for a long time. Training and playing alongside players like Joshua Kimmich, [Harry] Kane, and others every day is unique.”

Pavlović has added more control and physique to his game. The goal contributions are slowly adding up as well. But he does not need to do anything drastic. As long as he remains fit and continues to play, it is natural that the 21-year-old will continue to improve. Bayern fans will be all too pleased to see how development goes.
