There's plenty of great rivalries in sports, but nothing comes remotely close to UNC-Duke, particularly on the basketball court.

The Tar Heels (23-6, 11-5 ACC) and Blue Devils (28-2, 16-1 ACC) delivered an instant classic on February 7 in Chapel Hill. North Carolina trailed nearly the entire game, but thanks to Seth Trimble's game-winner, won 71-68.
College GameDay, ESPN's top pregame show which follows the best matchups in football and basketball, came to the Dean Dome before Round One of the Tobacco Road Rivalry. To no one's surprise, College GameDay will also air live from Durham ahead of Saturday night's rematch.
Duke students camping in tents, right outside Cameron Indoor Stadium, will almost certainly be the first ones inside for GameDay this weekend. GameDay is an event open to the general public, so if you're in the Triangle, strongly consider traveling to Durham and donning your best Carolina Blue.
Did you have a favorite sign from College GameDay last month? UNC students delivered with their best humor – ranging from Caleb Wilson holding Cameron Boozer as a baby, to the Blue Devils clapping when the plane lands.

If North Carolina beats Clemson on Tuesday, it'll already have the ACC Tournament's fourth seed locked up. Sweeping Duke, however, brings a massive boost to the Tar Heels' already-impressive NCAA Tournament resume.
The matchup to watch in Saturday's rematch will be Henri Veesaar vs. Cameron Boozer. Veesaar has UNC playing its best basketball right now, even while Wilson is sidelined with a broken left hand, while Boozer is frontrunner for National Player of the Year.
Can North Carolina sweep the Blue Devils on Saturday, just one season after the latter won all three matchups in 2025?
