The Arizona Cardinals have several roster decisions to make before then.

Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.

Next up is outside linebacker Zaven Collins.

Zaven Collins 2025 season

One of the team’s most versatile and consistent defenders, Collins played 17 games with nine starts and was on the field for 543 defensive snaps (47 percent) and 111 (24 percent) on special teams. He had 36 tackles (24 solo), six tackles for loss that was third-most on the team, 10 quarterback hits (also third on the team), 1.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown.

Zaven Collins contract status

In the final season of an extension he signed prior to the 2024 season, Collins has a non-guaranteed salary of $4.098 million this year and a salary-cap charge of $6.053 million.

Zaven Collins offseason outlook

While his name has been on the list of speculated roster cuts because the dead money would be only $1.75 million, shedding good players doesn’t make sense when it would mean having to replace him on the roster when there are so many team needs. In five seasons with the Cardinals, Collins has missed only one game. There have been those in the organization that believe Collins could contribute on the inside, which is where he began his career as a first-round choice in 2021.
