The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has been increased by Rs 195 across the state from April 1. The hike comes just 25 days after domestic LPG cylinder prices were raised by Rs 60.

Rewa has emerged as the costliest market, where a cylinder now costs Rs 2,331.

With input costs rising, several eateries have either trimmed their menus or are preparing to increase food prices. Restaurant owners said the burden cannot be absorbed for long, and customers may soon have to pay more for everyday meals.

According to R K Gupta, president of the Gas Agency Association, LPG prices are largely standardised, with only marginal differences due to local tax structures. In major cities, revised prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders are Rs 2,084 in Bhopal, Rs 2,186 in Indore, Rs 2,295 in Jabalpur, Rs 2,307 in Gwalior and Rs 2,251 in Ujjain.

Several districts, including Narsinghpur, Singrauli, Satna, Katni, Balaghat, Panna, Raisen, Shahdol, Mandla and Sidhi, are witnessing prices of Rs 2,300 or more.

Meanwhile, districts including Guna, Jhabua, Neemuch, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Ashoknagar, Rajgarh, Agar Malwa, Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Dhar, Alirajpur, Khargone, Dewas, Chhindwara, Damoh, Betul and Chhatarpur have cylinder prices below Rs 2,200.
