IHSAA boys basketball: Meet the 2026 Indiana Junior All-Stars to play Kentucky

The boys’ Indiana Junior All-Star roster is set.

The six core group of Junior All-Stars – Plainfield’s Harper Baker-Lands, Fishers’ Jason Gardner Jr. and Cooper Zachary, Pike’s Isaiah Hill and Jahari Miller and Mt. Vernon’s Max Vise – will play in both the Junior All-Stars’ games against the Kentucky Junior All-Stars on May 31 at Charlestown and the game against the Indiana All-Stars on June 3 at Mt. Vernon.

The boys’ red group (listed below) will join the core group at Charlestown, and the blue group (listed below), will play with the core against the Indiana All-Stars.

Noblesville coach Scott McClelland, who is 86-38 in five seasons with the Millers, will coach the Junior All-Stars. McClelland is 332-207 in 23 seasons overall, including a Class A state championship at Morristown in 2017-18.

Heath Howington, who led Barr-Reeve for a Class A state championship this season, will assist McClelland. The Vikings were 28-1 this season. Howington is 182-158 overall in 14 seasons, including previous stops at North Posey and Evansville Memorial.

2026 Indiana Junior All-Stars

Core group

Harper Baker-Lands, Plainfield: The 6-4 Baker-Lands averaged 17.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game for the Quakers, who finished 22-3 and were ranked in the top-5 in Class 4A before falling to Pike in the sectional semifinal. He shot 43.8% (49-for-112) from the 3-point line. Baker-Lands has 988 career points.

Jason Gardner Jr., Fishers: The 6-1 Gardner played in just seven games this season due to a broken bone his left hand. He averaged 20.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals in the games he was able to play, shooting 57% from the field. Gardner, rated as a top-30 player in the country, has several high-major offers, including from Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Notre Dame and Purdue.

Isaiah Hill, Pike: The 7-foot Hill averaged 12.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.6 blocked shots per game as a junior, helping Pike to a 23-4 record and Class 4A sectional championship. Hill is ranked as a top-20 prospect in the country with offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue, Georgetown, Louisville, Syracuse and TCU.

Jahari Miller, Pike: The 6-3 guard averaged 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game for the Red Devils in a 23-win season that ended with an overtime loss to Mt. Vernon in the regional at Southport. Miller has offers from DePaul, Florida State, Georgetown, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Saint Louis, TCU and Wake Forest, among others.

Max Vise, Mt. Vernon: The 6-8 Vise helped the Marauders to a Class 4A state championship this season, averaging 14.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game. Vise shot 65% from the field, including 9-for-26 from the 3-point line. He had some of his biggest games late in the season, putting up 22 points and 10 rebounds in the semistate final win over New Albany.

Cooper Zachary, Fishers: The 5-10 guard averaged 14.8 points, 5.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game for a Fishers’ team that was ranked No. 1 and undefeated until the Tigers were upset in the sectional championship by Carmel. Zachary took on a different role due to Gardner’s injury but still shot 41.6% from the 3-point line. He already has 939 career points, 406 assists, 209 rebounds and 208 steals in three seasons.

Red group

Devin Bolden, Cardinal Ritter: The 6-8 Bolden was named the City Player of the Year as he averaged 20.9 points, 12.6 rebounds, 1.4 blocked shots and 1.3 steals per game for a team that finished 14-13 and won a Class 2A sectional championship. Bolden has 1,278 career points and 815 career rebounds.

Duncan Combs, Bloomington South: The 6-6 forward averaged 15.0 points and 5.8 rebounds for a Bloomington South team that finished 19-7. Combs shot 54% from the field, including 35.6% from the 3-point line.

Derrick Cross Jr., Bloomington North: The 6-3 guard averaged 18.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.9 steals on the season for a Bloomington North team that finished 14-8. Cross shot 45.3% from the 3-point line.

Jake Grissom, Guerin Catholic: The 6-3 guard averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.5 assists per game for a Guerin team that went 21-6. Grissom put up a season-high 37 points in a win over New Palestine.

Brandon Hunter, Silver Creek: The 6-3 Hunter averaged 12.0 points, 10.5 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for a Silver Creek team that was ranked No. 1 in Class 3A almost the entire season. The Dragons finished 29-2. Hunter shot 44% from the 3-point line.

Tyler Renn, Terre Haute North: The 6-6 Renn averaged 9.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game to help the Patriots to a 24-4 season and Class 4A regional championship. Renn shot 56% from the field.

Blue group

Brody Baker, Harrison (West Lafayette): The 6-foot Baker averaged 19.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.6 assists for Harrison, which went 18-9 and won a sectional title. Baker is one of the state’s top shooters, hitting at a 46.8% clip this season from the 3-point line.

Cash Daniels, Carmel: The 5-10 point guard averaged 13.7 points, 5.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game for a Carmel team that finished 18-6 with a Class 4A sectional championship.

Elijah King, South Bend St. Joseph: The 6-2 guard averaged 19.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game to help St. Joe to a 21-5 season and sectional champion in Class 4A after winning the 3A state title a year ago.

Da’Kori Parker, South Bend Riley: The 5-10 guard averaged 13.3 points, 3.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game for a Riley team that finished 21-5, falling in overtime in the sectional championship to South Bend St. Joseph. Parker shot 35.7% from the 3-point line.

Austin Schlabach, Westview: The 6-1 guard led the Warriors to the Class 2A state finals, averaging 19.9 points, 5.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds. Schlabach shot 61.2% from the field, including 39.5% from the 3-point line.

Mack Welker, Homestead: The 6-6 Welker averaged 20.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game for a Homestead team that finished 20-7 and won a Class 4A sectional title. Welker shot 54% from the field.

Friday, June 5 — Indiana at Kentucky at Lexington Catholic High School — girls, 5:30 p.m.; boys, to follow (about 8 p.m.). Ticket information, TBA.

Saturday, June 6 — Indiana vs. Kentucky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse (125 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN 46204) — Senior girls, 5:00 p.m. EDT; Senior boys, to follow (about 7:30 p.m. EDT). Ticket information, TBA.
