Cam Newton tells Auburn he won’t be supporting their NIL til they win

Auburn University has a tradition of winning football. Still, over the past few years, it has not only failed to post a winning season but also failed to make an appearance in the College Football Playoff, unlike its SEC rivals.

One of their biggest supporters is former NFL MVP Cam Newton. Newton won a Heisman Trophy and a national championship while at Auburn.

But like many fans of the program, Newton has grown tired of losing and now says he refuses to support it financially until they start winning again.

“If they ain’t about winning, they can get out of my face and go back to where they came from. I’m tired of supporting something that’s not winning! Can you deliver that message to the parents? Especially to the parents. Before they ask for money, WE. WANT. WINNERS. That’s our restitution. We give you money, you give us wins, and if you don’t. CTRL. ALT. DELETE," Newton said while at a recent event.

As new Auburn head coach Alex Golesh has stated, he intends to bring back former players like Newton to the program, but Newton has made it quite clear that if they want him to keep supporting the program, they better start winning.
