Titans' Brian Daboll thinks receiver Calvin Ridley is in a good place

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been the center of many discussions on social media, and even after he took a significant pay cut to stay in Nashville, there are still a handful of fans who believe he wont be part of the 2026 roster.

Unfortunately for those naysayers, it doesn’t appear that Ridley will be moving on any time soon. At rookie minicamp on Saturday, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll met with the media, and one of the topics that came up focused solely on Ridley.

"He's good. He is Rid. I got a long-standing relationship with Rid back in 2017. It means a lot to me. As a player, he was a player for us when I was at Alabama, but as a person we developed pretty good relationships and it's good to have him here. We've changed some stuff that went over the last ten years. But smart, good player, good teammate. I got a lot of appreciation and love for Rid."

Yes, the Titans wide receiver room looks much-improved heading into offseason activities, but, moving on from Ridley would do nothing but set the unit back. While it is understandable for fans to be concerned after a dismal campaign in 2025, moving on from Ridley at this point, following the pay cut means doesn’t make sense.
