The Boston Bruins could look to extend star centerman Pavel Zacha, who will be eligible for an extension on July 1.

Zacha was an impact center for the Bruins this season, as he was part of a solid second line with Casey Mittelstadt and Viktor Arvidsson. The forward played well, and with him entering the final year of his deal, Boston could look to extend him this summer.
Zacha is set to earn $4.75 million next season, and Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic believes he’ll earn a big-time raise on his next contract.
“Zacha started the season at left wing but became the No. 2 center because of his three-zone reliability,” Shinzawa wrote in an article published on Monday. “He scored a career-high 30 goals by being opportunistic in high-danger areas. He should be up for a big-time raise heading into the final season of his contract.”
Zacha recorded 30 goals and 35 assists for 65 points in 78 games, which were career-highs in goals and points. He added one goal and two assists for three points in six games.
At age 29, Zacha still has plenty of good years left, so he could be in line for a lengthy and lucrative extension.
Boston acquired Zacha in July of 2022 in a trade from the New Jersey Devils for Erik Haula.
