The 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals opener tore into the Lucknow bowling attack in a manner that left most speechless, including Ashwin, who eventually reached for a metaphor that was, frankly, the only one that seemed to fit.

Area 51 is a classified United States Air Force facility in the Nevada desert that has, for decades, been the centre of conspiracy theories about alien life and extraterrestrial activity. Sooryavanshi puts in a flawless performance against LSG

Sooryavanshi reached his fifty off just 23 deliveries before eventually being dismissed by Mohsin Khan for 93 off 38 balls, caught at long-on by Abdul Samad. 

He narrowly missed what would have been his third IPL hundred, but the manner of his dismissal, trying to clear the boundary off a cleverly disguised slower ball, was the only blemish on an otherwise breathtaking performance.

After the knock, Sooryavanshi moved to 579 runs from 13 matches in IPL 2026 at an average of 44.54, overtaking Mitchell Marsh's tally of 563 to claim the Orange Cap. His strike rate of 236.33 is the best of any batter in the competition this season.
