The incident of the stalled ride happened during Saturday’s rainstorm, according to a park visitor who posted the video on X, showing the riders stuck on Canada’s tallest rollercoaster.
“So Leviathan has just valleyed after the giant camelback hill, did not make it around this turnaround here … These poor riders are stuck in the cold rain right now. I believe they’re able to get them off here soon,” the X user, named Jake, said in the video .

A video posted by another X user, @coastersnbrews , showed the Leviathan roller-coaster car heading forwards and backwards on the track between two hills, like a pirate ship ride, as wind gusts could be heard in the background.

In response to the incident, Canada’s Wonderland said in a statement, “Due to cold and gusty weather on May 23, the ride did not complete its typical cycle.
“The few guests onboard were unloaded safely and accommodated by park staff. The safety of our guests and employees remains a key priority,” it said, adding that six guests were on the ride at the time.
According to both X users, the theme park’s Behemoth ride also valleyed during Saturday’s windy rainstorm.
You cannot make this up, Behemoth valleyed not even 20 minutes after Leviathan did what a wild sequence of events. Doesn’t look like anyone is on the train (which is definitely why it valleyed btw)

The ride stoppages came after the theme park delayed the opening of its Splash Works water park due to the lousy weekend weather. It’s now scheduled to open on May 30.
Environment Canada had issued a special weather statement for the Greater Toronto area on Saturday, estimating between 30 and 50 millimetres of rain.
