But, if there was one thing that this team needed, beyond maybe a bit more offensive firepower in their infield, it would be some extra bullpen help.
Fortunately, some help might be on the horizon, as Jack Curry of YES reports that the Yankees have made a significant decision on top pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange that has a big impact on the potential of a promotion in the near future.

"Carlos Lagrange is being shifted to the bullpen at AAA," Curry reports. "The Yankees always believed the hard-throwing RHP could boost the bullpen this year. So this is a major step in that direction. Get ready to see 103 MPH in the Bronx."
The Yankees could use a bit more bullpen help this season, and while they could try and swing a trade this summer, why not skip that process and promote from within?
Lagrange is being moved to the bullpen, and now might be called up for a reliever role later this season as part of the Yankees' effort to improve the bullpen.
The 23-year-old flame-throwing right-hander has been okay at Triple-A this season, posting a 4.41 ERA across 49 innings with 63 strikeouts and a 1.33 WHIP.

Last season, he posted a 3.53 ERA in 24 games (23 starts) in his best season in the Yankees system, which included a 3.22 ERA at Double-A for the Yankees.
This past spring, Lagrange had a 4.96 ERA in five games and two starts as he struggled a little bit in an effort to earn a roster spot on Opening Day.
But now, if this pivot to the bullpen for Lagrange goes well, it would not be a surprise to see the Yankees promote Lagrange quickly.
Things could be very exciting for the Yankees in the near future, as this decision from the Yankees on Lagrange should spark significant intrigue about the flame-throwing prospect getting his chance in the Major Leagues.
