The Pittsburgh Steelers are getting one more year of Aaron Rodgers, and then it will likely be time to find a new quarterback if he retires.
The Steelers could roll with an internal option like Will Howard or Drew Allar. They could also go back to the draft or try to acquire one via trade or free agency.
One quarterback who might be available next year is Baker Mayfield, who's entering the final season of his three-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If the two sides don't agree on a contract extension, Mayfield could be a free agent next year.
On Friday's episode of "Baskins And Phelps" on 92.3 The Fan, Cleveland radio hosts Andy Baskins and Daryl Ruiter debated whether Pittsburgh should pursue Mayfield next offseason if he's available.
"I've got a team for him and it's not the Browns...I think Baker (Mayfield) going to the Steelers (next year) would be delicious."

"I got the team for him, and it's not the Browns... The Steelers," Ruiter said.
"Well, that would be fun, but I can't imagine the Steelers paying that kind of money for Baker," Baskins replied. "Would you pay Baker 50-something million a year? I would not."
"I think Baker going to the Steelers would be delicious," Ruiter added.
Pittsburgh is already familiar with Mayfield from his four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He's only gotten better since joining the Buccaneers, making two Pro Bowls in his three seasons with them.
Mayfield's numbers declined last season, however, and he will be 32 next year, so the Steelers may want to see how he fares this year before seriously considering him under center.
