The Los Angeles Rams are clearly in a Super Bowl window right now. The team has one of the most loaded rosters in the NFL and should be a force to be reckoned with, even in the tough NFC West.
Naturally, because the Rams play in LA and feature one of the best rosters, the team is frequently named as a landing spot for the top free agents. That's been the case this offseason, and there's a very talented free agent weapon who should be signing with a team soon.
Rams named among best landing spots for Stefon Diggs
Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports recently picked out the best landing spots for Stefon Diggs, and of course, the Rams made the list.
At first glance, it seems like the Rams are set at receiver with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. However, Adams is 33 and just turned in his worst season in a decade. There's also not much to get excited about behind that duo, so it makes sense to add another piece.
Regarding Rams and Diggs, Dajani offered the following:
The Rams had the No. 1 offense in the league last year with MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford and star wideouts Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Despite that talented room, the Rams showed interest in A.J. Brown earlier this offseason, so they could still be in the market for a new weapon. Diggs isn't the same player as Brown, but he could join a loaded offense and chase a ring with the Rams. Maybe Aaron Donald comes out of retirement to do the same.
As Dajani mentioned, the Rams already had the No. 1 offense with just Nacua and Adams, so adding a player like Diggs could truly get the team over the top.
In 2025, Diggs played in 17 games for the New England Patriots and helped lead the team to the Super Bowl. Diggs caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns and even received some Comeback Player of the Year votes.
In Los Angeles, Diggs would join Nacua and Adams to form possibly the best WR trio in the league. It would also be Diggs' best shot at landing a ring, which is something he's failed to do so far.
Do Rams need Diggs?
When you look at the Rams' depth chart, you start to realize that receiver may actually be a need after all. In 2025, no wide receiver other than Nacua or Adams had more than 303 yards, and the team didn't do much to add to the room.
Rookie sixth-rounder C.J. Daniels is the only notable addition so far, and while he looks promising, you probably don't want to rely on him immediately. Adding Diggs would take some pressure off Nacua and Adams and also give Stafford another reliable target.
Now that Diggs' legal troubles seem to be over, I think he makes perfect sense in Los Angeles. He has the big personality that would seemingly fit in, and he could finally get that elusive ring.
