Jaguars roster breakdown: Who's a lock, on the bubble at tight end?
· Yahoo Sports
With minicamp behind us, let's break down the Jacksonville Jaguars' roster through a different lens.
In this series, we will be going position-by-position and placing each player into various categories, determining whether they are a lock to make the team or find themselves on the bubble.

What this exercise can do is help bring into focus how many roster spots are actually available this summer, along with highlighting who may be on the outside and looking in.
Up next are the tight ends.
Roster locks (3): Brenton Strange, Nate Boerkircher, Tanner Koziol
Strange will lead the way at this position group, while the Jaguars believe that Boerkircher has the ability to change the offense.
Koziol, meanwhile, is seemingly playing himself into a larger role following his performance at minicamp. With Strange and Boerkircher bringing more of a do-it-all skill set to the position, Koziol has been a pass-catching threat.
On the bubble (4): Quintin Morris, Hunter Long, Patrick Herbert, Ethan Conner
If we assume that the Jaguars will roster four tight ends, then Morris and Long are potentially competing for that final spot. Ultimately, that decision could come down to who can make the bigger impact on special teams and what skill set the Jaguars want on the roster -- Morris is a blocker and Long a pass-catcher.
Herbert and Conner will be competing for a spot on the practice squad in all likelihood.
