Man…Bayern Munich’s attacking trio really was that good last season, eh?

Bayern Munich stars Michael Olise (France vs. Senegal) and Harry Kane (England vs. Croatia) were each named Player of the Match for their efforts, but their cohort, Luis Díaz (Colombia) also won Player of the Match after his performance against Uzbekistan.

Díaz, of course, was a strong presence throughout the game for Colombia, who won the match 3-1. Díaz was a threat every second that he was on the pitch and could have scored another goal if not for nailing the woodwork.

Below are some of the key stats for Díaz in the contest. While he was not perfect, Colombia would not have won without him:

  • 93 minutes played
  • 47 touches (11 lost possessions)
  • 1 goal
  • 1 assist
  • 79% passing accuracy (19 / 24)
  • 2 key passes
  • 7 / 10 ground duels won

Colombia will play DR Congo on Tuesday June 23rd at 7PM at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico.
