Auburn baseball produced a quality pitching show in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Wednesday as Jake Marciano and Jackson Sanders combined to limit LSU to one run on four hits with one walk in Auburn's 3-1 win. Auburn's lineup also produced power as Chase Fralick and Eric Guevara each collected solo home runs in the game. For Texas A&M, Friday marks their first game of the SEC Tournament after receiving the double-bye by grabbing the No. 3 seed of the tournament.
Andreas Alvarez gets the start for Auburn on the mound. He struck out a season-high 11 batters in his first start against Texas A&M earlier this month, which played a massive role in Auburn's 18-5 victory over the Aggies in College Station. He will throw opposite Ethan Darden, who is 4-2 with a 3.62 ERA, being used mostly as a relief pitcher by the Aggies this season.
