The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch and nominations.
Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.
The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Boys Athlete of the Week candidates:
Ty Haqq, Dublin Jerome lacrosse: Had three goals and one assist and picked up four ground balls in a 12-7 win over Olentangy Liberty in the Division I, Region 1 final.
Dawson Kamppi, Liberty Christian baseball: Struck out nine of the 13 batters he faced in a 10-0 win over Northside Christian in a Division VII tournament game. He and Seth Mollohan combined on a five-inning perfect game.
Harrison Lessard, Bexley tennis: After winning two matches in the state individual tournament but having to retire from and forfeit his last two because of an injury, Lessard's 7-5, 7-6 win over Cincinnati Indian Hill's Gareth Kurowski clinched the Lions' first Ohio Tennis Coaches Association Division II state team tournament championship in nine years.
Joaquin Love, Olentangy track and field: Qualified for four events at the super regional for the Division I state meet. He took second in the 200-meter dash, third in the long jump, third in the 4x200-meter relay and first in the 4x400-meter relay team. He is the first athlete in Olentangy track and field history to qualify for the state meet in four events.
Owen Przymierski, Newark Catholic baseball: Struck out 11 without a walk and allowed one earned run in a one-hitter in a 4-2 win over Shekinah Christian in a Division VII tournament game.
