Charlotte Hornets 2025-26 player grades: Antonio Reeves
· Yahoo Sports
After making 45 appearances for the New Orleans Pelicans last season, the Charlotte Hornets were able to scoop up Antonio Reeves on a two-way contract. Unlike Drew Peterson, Reeves stayed with Charlotte's G-League affiliate for the duration of the 2025-26 season when he wasn't playing in the NBA. In 28 G-League games with Greensboro, Reeves helped lead the Swarm to their first G-League title, averaging 16.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.5 steals.

In the NBA, Reeves saw limited action for the Hornets, making 10 appearances with Charlotte. In those games, the former No. 47 overall pick averaged 2.7 points, 0.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.1 steals in 6.8 minutes per game. Reeves shot well despite his limited opportunities, averaging 50% from the field and 53.8% from 3-point range. Given his NBA stats in relation to his minutes played, it's difficult to criticize the former Kentucky product's performance. Searching for a bigger role next season, Reeves will be a restricted free agent this summer, putting his future with the franchise in jeopardy.
