CBS Sports' production and experience study reveals encouraging news about Florida's offense entering 2026.
The Gators return elite talent in several key offensive categories — most notably in the skill position unit. Nine offensive players posted 100 snaps or more during the 2025 season; six of those Gators veterans started multiple games. Highlighting this group is the receiving corps, which ranks No. 10 nationally in returning production, while the passing offense ranks No. 93 and passing efficiency No. 84.
The Gators' rushing production and overall offensive efficiency rank among the best in FBS.
"It is the only program in the country with three running backs on its roster who have at least 1,000 career yards rushing — Jaden Baugh (1,838), London Montgomery (1,096) and Evan Pryor (1,087)," CBS Sports analyst Cody Nagel said about Florida's run game.
On defense, Florida ranked highly in adjusted yards per attempt, falling just outside the top 10, while sack percentage ranked No. 9. These metrics suggest strong defensive efficiency.
While Florida may be able to lean on returning experience on offense, Jon Sumrall and the Gators still have to answer questions at quarterback and along the offensive line. The hope in Gainesville is that these tested skill position players can elevate a pair of unproven quarterbacks.
